About the Author

Tracy Newby Jr. is the founder and editor of In Vein Magazine.

He is a Louisiana writer and photographer whose work examines addiction, recovery, grief, loss, and the lives too often reduced to statistics.

Drawing from lived experience, Newby approaches these subjects without preaching or easy answers. His work is grounded in honest storytelling, compassion, and the belief that difficult conversations deserve room to exist.
